The pockets at the hip are probably the closest thing to a negative I can say about this jacket. They are straight up and down, which I think makes it harder to get things in and out of, and they are not great for your hand or holding bulky Canada Goose Jackets items.
SOOO with all of that said, I wanted to do an updated review of the Trillium style jacket since my last one fell short. Also, to address the elephant in the room, I am aware that the hood is made with real fur, and I realize that it is terrible. I respect your opinions and choices, so I ask that you give me the same courteously in return. In both instances where I have gotten these coats, I have donated back to the WWF. While I realize it is not the same, I do wish to help give in the best way I can. Another good thing is that Canada Goose offers jackets without fur hoods like the Kinley Parka if that is of interest.
Canada Goose, despite being ubiquitous and oversaturated, is reliable, if boring. The coat is filled with 625 fill power (fill power indicates the quality of the down; in this case, one ounce of down can cover 625 cubic inches) North American duck (which is pretty hilarious for a brand called Canada Goose) down (which is pretty good, but not excellent). The manufacturer claims that it can withstand temperatures - 25F and below, which I believe, because the coat has kept me quite warm (with a thick sweater and a Uniqlo HEATTech t - shirt underneath) in current Arctic - like conditions.
Canada Goose's new FW21 collection of puffers, lightweight down fleece and technical knitwear expertly capture this duality: when worn in nature, products like the sleek - fitting Cypress Puffer allow adventurers to bring their sense of style with them; when worn in the city, styles like the waist - cinching Mckenna Parka elegantly signal an active outdoor life.
